The Course Architecture

What's inside.

The course covers the full Writing half of the Reading and Writing section in 11 interactive lessons: Sentence Structure, Commas, Advanced Punctuation, Advanced Sentence Structure, Verbs, Pronouns, Misplaced Modifiers, Parallel Structure, Other Miscellaneous Topics, Transitions and Notes (Rhetorical Synthesis). Each lesson is broken into rule sets. Every rule set states the rule, shows it in a model sentence, names the trap the test uses against it, and then hands the student SAT-style questions to try. The lessons hold 483 practice items in total. Alongside them sit 12 drill sets holding 308 fresh questions (plus 24 worked examples shown in the drill players), including a 48-question mixed review on punctuation and sentence structure. Students also get 58 key points and 98 flashcards for revision.

How to use it.

Work through the chapters in order, because each one builds on the last. Chapters 1 to 4 set up sentence structure and punctuation, and the Chapter 5 mixed drill checks that block before moving on. Chapters 6 to 10 cover verbs, pronouns, modifiers, parallelism and word choice. Chapters 12 and 13 finish with the two rhetoric question types. In each lesson, tap a choice to check it; the full breakdown opens straight away. After each lesson, take that chapter's drill set and aim for 70% or higher. Use the flashcards and key points for short daily review.
